Last updated: 2026-07-12. This page explains how TORQ Cymru Automotive uses optional Google Analytics and how booking/contact details are kept separate from analytics.
Short version: analytics on this website is optional. It stays off unless you accept it. Rejecting analytics does not block booking, calling, WhatsApp, or normal site use.
Who operates the website
TORQ Cymru Automotive operates this website at torqcymru.co.uk. TORQ Cymru Automotive provides mobile mechanic services from Caerphilly across South Wales and is the controller for the information described on this page.

Base: Caerphilly, serving South Wales.
Information you give us directly
When you use the booking form or contact TORQ Cymru directly, you may provide details such as your name, phone number, email address, vehicle details, postcode, and booking notes. That information is used to respond to your enquiry, arrange work, and manage the service you asked for. It is not sent to Google Analytics.
Optional Google Analytics
TORQ Cymru uses Google Analytics 4 only as an optional website measurement tool. It is used to understand broad website usage, such as:
- page views
- approximate location and device/browser type
- referral source, including traffic from Facebook
- clicks on call, WhatsApp, booking, and portal-interest actions
- service-page engagement
- booking-start events in non-PII form
Analytics is not used here for advertising, remarketing, cross-site profiling, Google Signals, or advertising personalisation.
Consent first
- Default off. Analytics storage starts denied by default.
- Runs only after acceptance. Google Analytics does not load until you choose Accept analytics.
- Reject works normally. If you reject analytics, the website still works normally.
- You can change your mind later. Use the control available on the site to review or withdraw your choice.
What we do not send to Google Analytics
TORQ Cymru does not intentionally send the following to Google Analytics:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- vehicle registration
- postcode or address
- vehicle make/model details
- booking notes or free-text messages
- Firebase booking IDs or database keys
Consent choice storage
The site stores your analytics choice in your browser using a versioned localStorage key so the website remembers whether analytics is on or off. That stored preference remains until you change it again or clear site storage in your browser.
Google's role
When analytics is accepted, Google acts as the analytics provider for the website through Google Analytics 4. You can read more about how Google handles Analytics data in Google's own documentation and privacy information.
Analytics data retention
When analytics is accepted, event-level Google Analytics data for this website is retained by Google for 2 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying reporting may persist for longer within Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie settings control.
