Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-06-06. Please read these terms before requesting a booking.
Who we are
TORQ Cymru Automotive provides mobile mechanic services. We are based in Caerphilly and serve South Wales. You can reach us by phone on 029 2252 3485, by email at info@torqcymru.co.uk, or through our website at torqcymru.co.uk. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean TORQ Cymru Automotive, and "you" means the customer requesting or receiving our services.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to bookings, quotes, and work carried out by TORQ Cymru Automotive. By requesting a booking or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English so they are easy to follow.
Quotes and estimates
Any price we give before seeing or inspecting your vehicle is an estimate, not a fixed price. Estimates are based on the information you provide. The final cost may change if the work needed is different from what was first described — for example if further faults are found once we begin. Where the cost is likely to rise, we will let you know and seek your agreement before continuing.
Booking requests
Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We will contact you to confirm timing and details. A booking is only confirmed once we have agreed a date and time with you directly.
Mobile service access and vehicle condition
Because we come to you, we need safe, legal and reasonable access to your vehicle to carry out the work. This includes somewhere we can work safely, and enough space and light to do the job properly. If we cannot safely access or work on the vehicle when we arrive, we may need to rearrange, and a missed-appointment charge may apply (see below). Please make sure the vehicle is accessible and that any personal belongings are removed or secured.
Parts and availability
Some parts may need to be ordered in, which can affect timing. We will tell you if a part needs ordering and how this affects the work. Parts are subject to availability and supplier pricing, which can change. Where a manufacturer or supplier warranty applies to a part, that warranty's terms apply.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing. We will make our accepted payment methods clear at the time of booking or on completion. Please settle invoices promptly.
Cancellations and missed appointments
If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us as much notice as you can. If we arrive at the agreed time and cannot carry out the work because the vehicle is not accessible, not present, or not in a safe condition to work on, a reasonable charge may apply to cover our time and travel. We will always try to be fair about this.
Diagnostics and repair limitations
Vehicle faults are not always straightforward. Diagnostics aim to identify the most likely cause based on the symptoms and tests available at the time. In some cases more than one issue may be present, or a fault may only show up under certain conditions. We will be honest with you about what we find, what we recommend, and any limits on what we can do at the roadside or on a mobile basis.
Customer responsibilities
- Give accurate information about the vehicle and the problem.
- Make sure the vehicle is legally owned by you or that you are authorised to arrange work on it.
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the vehicle.
- Tell us about any known faults, modifications or safety concerns in advance.
Liability
We take care to carry out work to a good standard. We are responsible for loss or damage that is caused by our negligence or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for faults that already existed and were not part of the work we agreed to do, for problems caused by the condition of the vehicle outside our control, or for losses that could not reasonably have been expected. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including your rights under consumer law.
Data and privacy
When you contact us or request a booking, we collect the details you provide (such as your name, contact details, vehicle and the issue) so that we can respond and carry out the work. We use this information only to provide and manage our services. We do not sell your information. If you would like to know what we hold or ask us to delete it, contact us using the details above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you request a booking is the version that applies.
